With gastroscopy we are able, in an easy and fast way, to investigate symptoms
such as heartburn, stomach pain, vomiting, reflux, indigestion, anemia,
helicobacter infection, and bowel movement disturbances
Colonoscopy is the best method for early prevention and diagnosis of colorectal cancer. It is a safe, completely painless and safe test that is now now recommended for “everyone from 45 years of age”.. This test can be used to investigate for blood in the stool, change in stools, new onset of constipation, inflammatory bowel disease and to diagnose diverticulosis.
Digital chromoendoscopy is performed with NBI which changes the light spectrum.
In this way, it can increase detection rates for various diseases. It is used in the
evaluation of polyps, Barrett’s esophagus, gastritis, as well as in the chronic
monitoring of dysplasia in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
With orthoscopy, the final part of the large intestine, i.e. the rectum, is examined.
The examination is done with the same flexible endoscope used in the colonoscopy,
and, usually, these two examinations are combined. The examination can be done
with or without sedation as it is easily tolerated and painless.
A biopsy is the removal of a small piece (called a tissue) from somewhere in the
gastrointestinal tract. It is a completely painless and harmless procedure. This
fragment is initially placed in a vial of formalin and sent to the pathology laboratory
for further analysis.

Various methods of endoscopic hemostasis are used which have been developed in
recent years and include injection of liquid substances with a needle (adrenaline)
and mechanical hemostasis with clips.
Intestinal and gastric polyps are common findings in adults who undergo a
colonoscopy or gastroscopy. These polyps vary in size, morphology, and their
histological diagnosis, as well as their potential malignancy. Their removal is
performed endoscopically during the examination and is painless.
In case it is requested/deemed necessary, it is possible to undergo the procedure
with the participation of an anesthesiologist after consulting with the patient.
